Modern Architecture – Luigi Zoja Thermal Spa
Designed by Franco Albini (1905-1977) and Franca Helg (1920-1989) and inaugurated in 1971, the Spa was built in the dip in Mazzini Park, on the site of a former football ground with natural terraces for spectators. The cross plan building, featuring three wings, has six floors above ground and is developed around a central foyer with a large spiral staircase. The building houses the therapeutic treatment departments of Salsomaggiore.
