The bronze monument, the work of the sculptor of Salsomaggiore Alberto Bazzoni (1889-1973), celebrates the fallen soldiers of the First World War. Three figures of soldiers, two of them lifeless, lie on the sides of the base above which stands the glorious Infantryman, regardless of the danger, with the body stretched in the effort to throw a hand grenade at the enemy. The sculptural work, inaugurated in 1922, was erected in memory of those who gave birth to the homeland.
