Its current appearance is due to the nineteenth-century intervention that led to a rearrangement of the entire historical core of Salsomaggiore Terme.
The Town Hall , of seventeenth-nineteenth-century lines but originating in the second half of the fourteenth century, dominates the square. Around there are buildings that house shops and business activities. On the opposite side of the Town Hall, there is the ancient Caffè Eden, today a store, whose interior retains fine carved wooden furnishings with decorative motifs typical of Art Nouveau (interwined floral and vegetable elements), all surmounted by a ceiling with polychrome stucco , always inspired by Liberty Achitecture.
